The refit crew had some wood brought in last month which was treated and will be used in the cargo hold as decking. 

The masts & spars have been sanded and varnished and the carpenter is finishing off the repairs.

The new refit crew arrived, who are in charge of the rigging, so all the shrouds, wires, stays, blocks and lines are serviced and repaired where necessary.

Of course there are jobs in between! From sanding the lee-boards, to organising the engine room and de-rusting the steel plates on board…

Press Release: Wind transport ready for the next step! 

Today the sailing freighter “De Tukker” returned from her maiden voyage.This journey started a few weeks ago in Amsterdam and took her through various European ports to Portugal and back to the Netherlands. Along the way, a mixed load was transported in a sustainable manner. The ship is propelled by sails and can therefore sail emission-free, even over long distances.
