Thanks to all our investors over the past weeks the EcoClipper investment campaign has reached its first target of €140,000. The next target will be to raise another €375,000. Already more than 100 new investors have invested via the EcoClipper investor page (link).
Originally this target was earmarked for the repayment of the loan we used to purchase “De Tukker” which is the first EcoClipper retrofit ship. However, in a very generous gesture, the lender, who is one of our earliest investors, has offered to defer the payment until De Tukker is sailing. This means we are able to start the transition of the ship into a sustainable cargo vessel for North Sea trade immediately.
With the first target reached, the second is already coming into sight. This is the intermediate target of 50,000 certificates for €7.50. Using this investment it will be possible to put De Tukker into the good sailing order to become operational. The money will also be invested into extending our office team, continuing to document the story of the clean transport movement and setting up the North Sea route. We are doing this to ‘pave the road’ (chart the sea) towards establishing the plans for future EcoClipper500 ships.
If you are a UK, Switzerland or EU citizen you are most welcome to invest via the investor page (link). There is a minimum investment of 50 shares. As an investor in the second round, you will join free of any transaction costs. Instead of a loan, you really become one of the owners of the EcoClipper Coöperatie U.A., a shipping company with a vision of establishing an alternative clean logistics system. You will not only become the owner of the first ship, but you will also hold the promise of a fleet. Please share this blog around your friends and family with the links below.
Thank you very much for making sail cargo a growing reality!
Fair winds,
