Comprehensive Series of Five Webinars Presenting Backgrounds, Experiences and Economic Conditions for the Emerging Sail Cargo Industry.

 
Alkmaar, Netherlands, March 16th, 2021– As the International Wind Ship Association (IWSA) has just officially announced “The Decade of Wind Propulsion”, the sail cargo start-up EcoClipper will host a first series of webinars beginning March 25th, 2021. It will feature fundamental knowledge required for professional competency in partnering with, running of and investing in, sail cargo business. The webinars will be presented each Thursday afternoon at 15:00 PM (CET) beginning March 25th, 2021 and concluding April 22nd, 2021. Each session will be approximately 45 – 60 minutes, featuring interviews with different industry specialists and include live Q & A after the presentation.

Following the announcement, EcoClipper’s founder and CEO Jorne Langelaan said, “At this pivoting point in shipping history, where logistics are forced to make the transition to emission free sustainable practices, this webinar series aims to update individuals and companies, on an overview of relevant sail cargo business subjects. This is a chance for shippers, shipowners, investors, and also professionals from other backgrounds, to gain first-hand knowledge of this emerging new industry.”

The webinar topics will include: an introduction to sail cargo companies operating today; an overview of the sail cargo market; sailing technologies; different business models in the industry; and looking into the future of wind-powered shipping.
