A step forward – the EcoClipper500 prototype half-hull model
We at EcoClipper officially received the half-hull model of the EcoClipper 500 prototype. Our half hull model was crafted by ship carpenter Leo Boogerd, in cooperation with Bert van Baar of the Bootbouw school and Marijke de Jong, a specialist in square-rigging and yacht design.

EcoClipper: A Journey into the Wind
The sail cargo and passenger industry has been growing as sustainable brokers and sail cargo companies have thrown their hats into the limitless wind, and in 2018 Jorne Langelaan started EcoClipper with a vision.
Persbericht: Nederlandse start-up, in wind-ship logistiek, haalt €200,000 op.
Alkmaar, Nederland. (9 juni 2022). Met haar aanbod aan investeerders, waarmee ze mede-eigenaar kunnen worden van een toekomstige vloot van zeilende vracht- en passagiersschepen, heeft de start-up EcoClipper, gedurende deze ronde, meer dan € 200.000 opgehaald. De investering wordt gebruikt, voor het eerste schip: De Tukker dat momenteel een refit ondergaat, alswel voor de verdere ontwikkeling van EcoClipper’s geplande nieuwbouw Clipper-serie, de EcoClipper500.
